After the new glass is installed, that camera has to be recalibrated - it needs to relearn its position relative to the road, the lane lines, and the front of your vehicle. Skipping this step does not make a warning light come on right away; it makes the lane-keep system steer toward the wrong line and the pre-collision system brake at the wrong distance. Your Toyota RAV4 originally rolled off the line with glass from AGC and Pilkington (Toyota OEM partners). When we replace, we source either OEM glass from the same supplier or an OEM-equivalent from a major aftermarket maker (Pilkington, AGC, Saint-Gobain Sekurit) that matches the original spec - the right thickness, the right interlayer, the right bracket positions for your sensors, the right HUD coating if your trim has it.
Toyota Safety Sense is standard on all current RAV4 trims, so the windshield camera + radar are present on basically every RAV4 we replace. Higher Limited / XSE trims add a heated wiper-park area and acoustic glass. We confirm exactly what your trim has before we order glass so the spec matches the original.
