Buffalo Windshield Chip & Crack Repair

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. They explain the rules for using our website and for quotes, scheduling, payment, insurance claims, warranty and service from Buffalo Windshield.

1. Who these terms are with

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Buffalo Windshield Chip & Crack Repair LLC ("Buffalo Windshield," "we," "us," "our"), 62 Republic Street, Buffalo, NY 14204. They apply to buffalowindshield.com and our subdomains (the "Site"), and to quotes, appointments and services we provide (the "Services"). By using the Site or booking, accepting or receiving Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to order work on the vehicle. The Site is not directed to minors. If you order work on a vehicle you do not own, you confirm that the owner has authorized it.

2. What we do

We repair and replace auto glass, including chip and crack repair, windshield replacement, side and rear window replacement, and calibration of cameras and driver-assist systems (ADAS) tied to the windshield. We serve Buffalo, Erie County, Niagara County and nearby areas, at your location or at ours. Service areas, hours and availability can change. Information on the Site is general and is not a promise that a specific service is available for your vehicle.

3. Quotes, estimates and scheduling

  • Quotes, prices and time windows given by phone, text, photo, email or the Site are estimates based on what you tell us. We confirm the final price and timing before work starts.
  • The price or timing may change if the damage, glass type, vehicle trim, options, sensors, location or access is different from what you described, or if extra parts or steps are needed. We will not charge more than the agreed price without your approval.
  • Weather, traffic, parts supply and earlier jobs can affect arrival times. Arrival windows are estimates, and we will tell you as soon as we know about a delay.
  • Mobile service needs a safe, level, accessible place to work, and enough space and shelter for adhesives to cure. We may reschedule or move the work to our shop if conditions are not suitable.
  • Please tell us as soon as you can if you need to cancel or reschedule. If we have already ordered special-order glass for your vehicle that cannot be returned, we will tell you before you commit whether any cost applies.

4. Repair or replacement

We recommend repair when it is safe and effective, and replacement when it is not. Whether damage can be repaired depends on its type, size, depth and position, and the age of the damage. A repair improves strength and clarity, but it may leave a faint mark and cannot guarantee that a chip or crack will not spread. Some damage cannot be repaired, and the glass must be replaced. We make the final call on safety.

Many newer vehicles have cameras, sensors and driver-assist systems mounted on or near the windshield. These may need calibration after replacement. Calibration may need a static target, a road test, or the manufacturer's equipment. We will tell you what your vehicle needs. Skipping a recommended calibration can affect how those safety systems work. We will ask you to acknowledge in writing if you decline a recommended calibration, and we are not responsible for how those systems perform after a declined calibration.

Glass options (original equipment, equivalent or aftermarket) can differ in price, tint, shade bands, sensors and fit. We will explain the options we offer for your vehicle. Final parts depend on availability.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate vehicle, damage, insurance and contact information.
  • Give us safe access to the vehicle at the agreed place and time.
  • Remove valuables, toll tags, dash cameras, cargo and other personal items from the vehicle. We are not responsible for items left inside, or for accessories attached to the glass.
  • Tell us about existing damage, rust, leaks, previous glass work, aftermarket tint or films, and any warning lights.
  • Follow our care instructions after the work. These usually include how long to wait before driving, washing the vehicle or using high pressure water, keeping windows slightly open, and not slamming doors for a period after installation. Safe drive-away time depends on the adhesive used and the weather, and we will tell you.

6. Payment

Payment is due as stated on your estimate or invoice, or when the work is finished if nothing else is stated. We accept cash, card and insurance payment, and other methods we list at the time. If a payment is declined, reversed or not made, you remain responsible for the amount owed. Sales tax is added where required. We keep payment records for our accounts.

7. Insurance claims

If you ask us to work with your insurance company or glass claim administrator, we will help with the claim, but we are not your insurer and we cannot promise what your policy covers or how much it will pay. You remain responsible for your deductible, for any amount your insurer does not pay, and for any charges your insurer denies. You authorize us to give your insurer the information needed to process the claim and to receive payment for the work. Your policy and your insurer's rules decide coverage, not us. You have the right to choose the repair shop, and your insurer cannot require you to use a particular shop. We bill your insurer the actual amount charged and do not misstate prices to it.

8. Limited lifetime workmanship warranty

This is a LIMITED warranty. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state. In short: Coverage is installation workmanship on replacement glass. Duration is as long as the original customer owns the vehicle. The remedy is that we repair or redo the covered work at no charge. To make a claim, call or text (716) 548-2683.

We stand behind our installation work. Our lifetime workmanship warranty covers defects in how we installed a replacement piece of glass, such as leaks, wind noise and fit problems, for as long as you own the vehicle, under the terms stated here and on your work order. Glass manufacturer defects are covered as far as the glass maker and our suppliers cover them.

The warranty does not cover:

  • new damage to the glass, including rock chips, cracks and scratches after installation;
  • accidents, collisions, theft, vandalism, fire, weather or other outside causes;
  • rust, corrosion or damage to the frame or pinch weld that was there before our work, or that comes from body repairs by others;
  • damage caused by washing, wipers, scrapers, deicers, aftermarket films, tint, accessories or modifications;
  • repairs of chips and cracks, which cannot be guaranteed against spreading, unless your work order says otherwise;
  • problems with cameras, sensors or driver-assist systems that are not caused by our calibration work;
  • work done or altered by anyone other than us after our service;

To make a warranty claim, contact us promptly at (716) 548-2683 with your name, vehicle and date of service. We may need to inspect the vehicle. If the claim is covered, our remedy is to repair or redo the covered work at no charge to you. We do not offer refunds. The warranty is for the original customer and for as long as that customer owns the vehicle, unless your work order says otherwise. Some rights under the law cannot be limited, and this warranty does not remove them.

9. Disclaimers

EXCEPT FOR THE LIMITED WARRANTY ABOVE, AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, THE SERVICES AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," AND WE MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ON THE SERVICES LASTS ONLY AS LONG AS THE LIMITED WARRANTY ABOVE. Some states do not allow limits on implied warranties, so this may not apply to you. Rights that cannot be waived under New York law are not affected. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful code, or that information on it is complete, correct or current. Content on the Site is general information and not professional, legal, insurance or safety advice.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Buffalo Windshield and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost income, lost time, loss of use of a vehicle, or loss of data, arising from the Site or the Services. Our total liability for any claim connected with the Services or the Site is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service that gave rise to the claim. These limits apply to every legal theory, including contract, negligence and strict liability. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any rights you have under New York law, including General Business Law sections 349 and 350.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims brought by a third party that arise from information you knowingly gave us that was false, or from your lack of authority to order work on the vehicle.

12. Texts, calls and email

Calls to our business number may be answered or handled by an automated phone assistant that uses artificial intelligence, and calls may be recorded and transcribed. We tell you at the start of the call. You can ask to speak with a person. By giving us your phone number, texting us, or ticking the consent box on a form, you agree that we may call and text you at that number about your request and service. These are recurring automated texts about your quote, appointment, service and warranty. We send marketing texts only if you separately agree to them. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help, or call (716) 548-2683. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third party. We may also contact you by email at the address you give us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

13. Using the Site

  • You may use the Site for lawful, personal and business-vehicle purposes only.
  • You may not scrape, copy or republish the Site, interfere with it, probe or test its security, use bots or automated tools to submit forms or calls, send false quote requests, or try to access areas you are not allowed to enter.
  • The text, photos, graphics, logos, layout and other content on the Site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and print pages for your own use. You may not use our name, logos or content for another business without our written permission.
  • If you send us photos, reviews or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it. You give us a free, non-exclusive right to use it to provide the Services and to keep service records. We will not use photos that identify you in our marketing without your permission.
  • The Site may link to third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

14. Disputes and governing law

If you have a problem, please call us first at (716) 548-2683. Most issues can be fixed quickly, and we will try in good faith to resolve a complaint informally before either side starts a formal claim. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Erie County, New York, and you and we agree to those courts having jurisdiction. You may also bring a claim in the county where you live. Nothing here stops you from bringing a claim in small claims court or from contacting a government consumer agency.

15. General terms

  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • If we do not enforce a part of these Terms, that does not waive it.
  • You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
  • These Terms, your work order and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Site and the Services. If your signed work order differs from these Terms, the work order controls for that job.
  • We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, supply shortages, road closures, strikes or utility failures.
  • We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version applies when we post it, and the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply going forward and do not change a work order you already accepted.

16. No refunds, cancellations and problems with our work

We do not offer refunds on completed work. If something is wrong with our work, tell us and we will make it right under the limited warranty above. If you cancel before work starts, tell us as soon as you can. Nothing in this section limits any right to a refund that the law gives you.

17. Existing damage and vehicle condition

Windshields and body openings can hide rust, old leaks, prior repairs and other problems that only show when the old glass is removed. We note visible existing damage before work, and we are not responsible for existing damage, wear, rust, leaks, interior or trim damage that was there before we started, or that could not reasonably be seen. Older clips, moldings, cowl panels and trim can break when removed. Where that happens we will tell you and explain the options.

18. Photos and records

We may take photos of the vehicle, the damage and the finished work for our records, to support insurance claims, and to handle warranty questions. See our Privacy Policy for how we use them.

19. Electronic notices and signatures

You agree that we may send notices, estimates, invoices and receipts to you electronically, by text or by email, and that an electronic acknowledgement, approval or signature has the same effect as a paper one. You agree to keep your contact details up to date.

20. Accessibility

We want the Site to work for everyone. If you have trouble using any part of it, call or text (716) 548-2683 and we will help you or give you the information another way.

21. Survival

Sections about warranty limits, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, disputes and governing law continue after your service is finished or you stop using the Site.
