About — Sonny Monn
Who I am
My name is Sonny Monn. I own and operate Buffalo Windshield Chip and Crack Repair LLC out of 62 Republic Street in Buffalo. I was born and raised in Western New York. My family is here. My kids go to school here. I plow the same snow you plow every January and I drive the same pothole-cratered Skyway you drive.
I'm the guy who shows up to your driveway. There's no front desk, no service writer, no quote technician who hands you off to a tech you've never met. You call the number, I answer the phone, and a few hours later I'm at your house with the truck.
Why mobile, not shop
I trained on the OEM resin systems used by the major OEM glass shops — the same equipment, the same chemistry, the same procedure. I just decided to take that quality to people's driveways instead of a shop bay.
Here's why: at a brick-and-mortar shop, you're paying for the building. The lease, the bay, the lift, the receptionist, the office coffee — it all gets baked into your invoice. And every shop has a quota to hit, which means there's pressure on the tech to find reasons to upsell you from a repair to a full replacement.
With me, there's no building to pay for and no quota. I drive to you. The price is the price. If I can fix it with a repair, I fix it with a repair, and we're both done in 30 minutes.
The other reason is honest: a lot of people in Buffalo don't have time to drop a car off at a shop, wait around for a ride, come back to pick it up. Working parents, people with one car in the household, anybody on a job site. Mobile makes the math work for everyone.
What I won't do
There are a few things you won't get from me. They matter enough that I want them on the record.
- Honest assessment. If your chip is repairable, I repair it. If it's not, I'll tell you straight that replacement is the right call and why. Repair when we can, replace when you need to — and either way you get my honest read on what your damage actually needs. The price I quote is the price you pay. No "shop supplies" or "hazmat" fees at the end.
- No surprise fees. If I find a second chip you didn't know about, I tell you the add-on price before I touch the glass. If I get to your driveway and the damage is worse than the photo showed and I need to recommend replacement, that conversation happens before any work starts, not after.
- No aspirational insurance logos. I'm not going to plaster my truck with logos for insurance companies I "work with" just to look bigger than I am. Ask me about insurance billing and I'll walk you through what your specific carrier and policy will cover.
- No "free inspection" gimmicks. I look at your chip for free because that's how you treat people. Not because it's a marketing funnel.
Where I work
I cover the entire Buffalo metro and 18 surrounding suburbs: Amherst, Williamsville, Snyder, Getzville, East Amherst, Clarence, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Kenmore, Grand Island, Cheektowaga, Depew, Lancaster, West Seneca, Orchard Park, Hamburg, Lackawanna, and Blasdell.
If you're outside that ring but close to it, call anyway. I drive a lot and if I'm already heading your direction for another job, I can usually fit you in.
What I want this business to be
I want to be the windshield guy you tell your neighbor about. The one your sister calls when a rock hits her car on the 33. The one the school carpool dad recommends in the group chat. That's how this business has grown — one honest repair at a time, one Google review at a time. 5.0 stars across 48+ reviews and counting, all earned the same way: show up when I said I would, charge what I said I'd charge, do good work.
That's the whole pitch.
Call or text (716) 548-2683. Talk to me, not a call center.
